I've got even less today than I did yesterday to write here. I didn't even work on a draft of this DLU at all before my lunch break, even though I did still waste more than plenty of time this morning. Don't tell anyone. I'll make up for it with some real uber-productivity for the next three hours this afternoon, how's that?

Shobhit was gone all day yesterday, until early evening. A very rare occurrence, my getting home from work with neither Ivan nor Shobhit there. Shobhit had some leftovers to eat and so I had a veggie burger, using the second and final sample tofu burger patty from work. We're out of hamburger buns so I had to put it inside a hot dog bun. My life is so hard!

When Shobhit finally did come home, he was pretty focused on the news about the UK election. For future people reading this (which includes probably . . . just me), this is the election Prime Minister Theresa May gambled on by calling a special election, thinking she would gain a greater majority and be able to do whatever she wanted regarding Brexit. And it totally backfired on her, her Conservative Party losing so many seats that they no longer have the full majority. This is good news for rational people everywhere.

Between France and the UK, I pay way more attention now to international elections than I ever did before. I am clearly not alone in this at all. President Fuckwit has made us all global citizens now. Any turn of events around the world that translates to even the remotest resistance to this douche bag we have in the White House is a good thing.

Anyway, we tried the crossword for a while but lost interest when it wasn't as easy as we wanted it to be, and Shobhit went back to the news on his laptop. Now he put on his headphones so I could watch a couple episodes of The Golden Girls.

I just had lunch with Karen down at Six-Seven at the Edgewater Hotel. Again they had a half-hour wait for the regular dining room so we ate in the bar, which was fine. We've had to do that twice now. Just for something different, this time we skipped the truffle macaroni and cheese and split the flatbread, which is far cheaper anyway.

I took a calculated risk with the weather today, as this morning it was saying rain in the afternoon and the evening but with a break right around the time I'd be riding home. The forecast has changed now though and now there's no rain in the forecast for the rest of the day. My gamble paid off! Unlike Theresa May's. So, the walk there as well as the walk back was quite pleasant.

I guess I'll get back to work now.
