Not much to tell today. Shobhit did half-trick me into giving him a point for yesterday on the next Social Review. He texted me mid-afternoon that he was going to Starbucks and the library and then taking the blue folding picnic blanket tote to spend some time reading at Cal Anderson Park, with the clear expectation that I would meet him there on my way home from work.

I did meet him there, but after riding my bike directly home first, as I decided to take home a couple of the sample frozen Field Roast vegan "Mac and Chao Cheese" meals. One of the brokers sent us a bunch of them, and when Shobhit found out -- having sampled it at VegFest -- he asked me to bring some home. Someone else must have had the same idea yesterday, as today I see only two of them left in the Merchandising freezer. I swear there were more than just four yesterday, and I only took two home: a regular "Creamy" one and a spicier "Chili Chao" one. But since they were frozen meals, I figured it was best to get them into the freezer as soon as possible.

Shobhit even texted me, Did you go home first? I was there by just after 5 pm, and then I grabbed my own bag, and my book, and I walked back down to Cal Anderson Park, where I found him in the middle of one of the wide grassy areas. He apparently had been there, reading his own library book, for a couple of hours. He's reading Interview with the Vampire.

I never did read my own library book while I was there, and spent what few minutes I sat there on the blanket with him looking at my phone. Still, he said, "Do I get a point?" I thought for a moment, and said, "Yes, I guess you do." And he giggled, pretty pleased with himself.

We then walked up to Trader Joe's so I could get some garlic for the pasta with pesto cream sauce I wanted to make for dinner -- a recipe I got from Ivan, actually, back when he lived with me the first time in 2014. He never makes that dish anymore but I still do. I really love it. It's very simple and super tasty, although of course Shobhit still adds all sorts of shit himself -- including both salt and pepper before he even tastes it, which drives me fucking bonkers.

Anyway. I made a couple of Mother's Day cards while Shobhit worked on the New York Times crossword puzzle. I washed our sheets and towels. We watched an episode of Harlots on Hulu and this week's episode of Modern Family on TiVo. I was in bed soon after that.

Shobhit lucked out and got himself another Social Review point for today as well -- he just hung out with me while I had my lunch. I totally forgot to bring my leftover pasta from last night, so had one of the naan pizzas I have several of thanks to a broker in the Merchandising freezer. I offered to bake one for him too but he said he wasn't hungry.

But, he needed to kill time, because Ivan is "entertaining" at home until he leaves for work, and he had asked Shobhit if he'll be home late this morning. Shobhit told him he'll be gone from 10:15 until noon. He went to this job fair at Seattle Center that is going on for that duration of time. But, Shobhit moves quickly through those things and texted me he was already done by about 11:25. Ivan obviously prefers him not to be at home for the moment, though, so I suggested Shobhit join me for lunch. I wasn't even thinking of the Social Review -- just that it was a way for him to have some company for a bit.

It's pretty dreary and rainy, even a bit windy, again today. No more sunshine for a while. As always, though, I'm fine with it. Shobhit and I sat on the bar stools in the kitchen facing the west windows overlooking the Sound (although the weather today isn't nearly as nice as in that photo I just linked to). He took one big huge bite of my pizza, which annoyed me, but I guess I shouldn't have been so annoyed. It was just one bite.

He only stayed for about twenty minutes, so I went back to my desk. He's going to try and take roughly an hour and a half to walk back home from here. That shouldn't be too hard, as it's usually a 45 minute walk at best.
